Default suggestion on a new hair style

I am not the hips person in the world, but was told be a good friend i need a new hair style.

Something that is cutting, but yet can look good in business environment or sale jobs. I like the idea of Faux Hawk... but I am open to anything.. I have double crown so, work with that...

You can grow it really long and do the business pony tail look. Just make sure you wear circular rose colored shades and carry a coffee cup around for me please .

Or give this a go. I went to the hairstylist and she put a 4 on the sides and scissor cut the top. Then you can put some gel in it and get a voltaire look.

Might I suggest something? You should go new-wave in the front, hip-hop on the sides and rock-steady in the back. Huge in Europe right now (more the eastern-block though)

    NO FAUX HAWKS.

Tell you what, get a faux hawk, a white belt and a popped collar, and you can hit the douchebag trifecta in one

Very sage advice. It really does work. I got a FANTASTIC haircut as a result, and I am staying with that hair type person.

For the record, I am now getting five times as much sex as I used to. (Think carefully before responding...)

If you hair is thick enough, you may be able to get away with leaving the top long and just shaving the back and sides. That way you can pull it back/up and look slick for your personal life, while letting it hang down to cover the shaved bits for your professional life. Of course, this may only work for girls since long hair is probably still not "professional" enough for guys.

i have only ever gained in work with my hair short tbh. i accidentally discovered this after cutting of my hair (halfway down my back and naturally a curly rich blonde colour) as it looked silly under a peaked officers cap (i was invited to the palace to receive an award for my efforts in a volunteer service) and not wanting the repeat of the same complaints when some fool in full regalia of a knight of the order mistook me and my two escorts as women dressed in trouser not regulation skirt (all three of us had long hair)
