Yeah i get the feeling that no matter how much good one does for another the other will always screw you. Case in point: Rich and I. I make him a star, he calls me fat and humilates my friends for fun. *shakes head* People just don't know how to show appriciation these days.

This is often the case, unfortunately. To try to summarize your general gloom: I believe our society is becoming more fragmented and uncivil. The problem for us is: Our natural response will be to alienate ourselves further from this mess (or fight futile fights). We've broken all the taboos. We've set sail on waters uncharted. Yet, we still have our own hopes and ideals for the future. It is a difficult dichotomy to overcome. It can make one bitter at times. I've been pretty lucky in that I know some very good people who value good deeds, and I value theirs. So, in small groups I think understanding and respect can be present. I think when it moves into larger social groups, people kinda start losing emotional touch and things get more callous.

Then there are people who are "friends" but fuck you over. They should be murdered.
