hey all. I've been trying to rebuild my cd collection and the area is limited on good albums. any fans of deathmetal or industrial here know of some good bands to check out?

I don't know about death metal.. but one metal band that I really like is called Bal-Sagoth. they are sort of fantasy based and have a lot of songs revolving around robert e. howard's Conan stories, vikings and aliens. they aren't really cheesy like GWAR. well I mean I guess that some people might think they are cheesy, but they just write songs about the stuff they are into, they're not trying to be novelty about it.

yeah, bal sagoth is rad. you might also want to check out midvinter, blind guardian, or a new black metal band out of Hungargy called Bornholm (i know none of this is death metal, but i think power metal and black metal can get you way more pumped up).

oh yeah, I just remembered a band that I think you'll like, they are pretty death metal. the band's called Lividity. basically they are obssessed with porno. they have a song called "a womans place is on my face."

For Slipknot stuff you should get on their recold label list or cruise the site.Roadrunner records is ther label. Lots of good bands, news etc.

There's all kinds of good shit on Relapse Records. I recently got Pig Destroyer- Prowler in the yard. That's some tough shit. LOL Mastodon is amazing. Also, Cephalic Carnage, Buried Inside, Burnt By the Sun, Unearthly Trance, Alchemist, and Pelican are fuckin great.
