What do you do when too tired to do anything?

Today I'm trying to adjust my appallingly out of whack sleep schedule in anticipation of a very busy week.

I'm running on empty and reeeeeeeeeally want to snooze now. I'm not really solidly awake enough to do anything particularly productive, but I'm trying to stay awake until midnight or 1am.

So far, I have eaten a number of snacks which do not require cooking. Kinda hungry but too tired to cook and trying to spend less on delivery than sometimes.

I was trying to work on travel schedule for year, but was feeling sufficiently icky that making it to the kitchen was challenging enough.

Just rewatched Videodrome for the first time in years. Kinda less impact in the play piercing & BDSM & murder scenes in 2008. I think I'm tremendously desensitized.

Just started watching Carlito's Way, but not sure I'm going to get into it.

...it's kind of funny that the Videodrome tapes are betamax, and the whole video idiom, the UHF channels and such are such an anachronistic throw back now, which seems really odd

...but the main critique of the hypermediated experience of reality is even more so relevant now it seems.

I try to take naps and sleep, just try to do as little as possible... In NYC, you have to relax and sleep as much as you can, because it is such a stressful place... Naps are really baby-ish sounding, but there is nothing like sleep... Sometimes you just need extra hours of sleep to catch up. It's the best thing you can do, have a glass of milk, maybe a light snack, or have a couple of beers, that will put you to sleep!!!

If I'm not tired enough to sleep then I just browse the internet for something to entertain me, lie in front of the TV until I fall asleep, or take a nice long, hot shower.

get some coffee in your bod if you are trying to stay awake. also, get some leafy greens in your bod too. they will give you energy. kale is my favorite. collards, mustard greens, turnip greens, and spinach work too....

good luck in rearranging your sleep patterns; that isn't exactly bowlful of rainbows, it sucks.
