Default Fire @ Hollywood & Vine

Man, this fire at Hollywood & Vine is causing quite the ruckus. I'm a couple blocks away and I've got a huge headache from the smoke and the sky is full of helicopters. I'm glad they contained it to the one structure so well. Weird that one of my favorite restaurants, just two blocks south of Hollywood & Vine, just burned down two days ago.

Sorry to hear about that Forrest, I'm glad your alright though!

Hopefully they will put it all out soon, and best wishes to your health with all that smoke inhalation. I'm sure it's quite unpleasant.

It is indeed much better now that they pretty much knocked it down. The intersection of Hollywood & Vine is like a foot deep in water. They really were not messing around with this one.

Off Vine. I really loved that place and was oddly just thinking of how I wanted to go there again soon.

Wow, that is crazy. I haven't gone over there, but it has been helicopter city all day.

Try to avoid the smoke inhalation as much as possible. I was sick for days after I took in a few minutes worth getting out of my house. One thing I can say: That would be a horrible way to go out. I took in a big gasp jumping through the flames. Painful. Sorry to hear about the restaurant. Glad it was contained.

Was that a hate crime or insurance scam or thrill fire?

wow. just... wow. that kinda sucks and is kinda awesome at the same time. i guess last falls fires really tightened up the FD's game. i'm glad you and Amelia are all right, Forrest.

anyone remember a few years back when the hills were burning and we had the apocalypse sky for three days with flakes of ash raining down like snow?

I don't think they have found out or SAID exactly why, but it was first said that someone set it on fire because of a feud with the owners, though an insurance scam ...I never thought of that one. Hmm..interesting.

I just assume hate, insurance, or thrill are the only likely possibilities if someone burns down a gay bar and I'd tend to guess insurance first for any suspicious fire.

Man reminds me of when a friend I were driving from WPB Florida to Tennessee. We woke up and outside it looked like a thick fog had blown in. Could not see more then 8 feet away clearly.

Apparently there was a huge fire in the north part of Florida and the smoke had blown down. Highways were shut down etc.

We spent most of the day locked in the hotel room with a towel under the door and the bathrooms vent-fan on.

Reminded me of Silent Hill with the super thick fog/smoke and the slowlly raining ash.

Here in Ky, the incident of insurance fraud is insane!!!

My uncle from Michigan couldnt believe how bad it REALLY was until he went to pull onto a side road and the car coming toward us started speeding to catch us in the side, just to claim ins damage....

    Its REALLY bad here.

He admitted it though, he noticed.
