Okay so. Hair advice.

I've almost always had my hair long besides donating it twice when I was younger. My hair is curly as all hell and annoying to straighten at this length...I need something different.

Problem is the back of my head is shaved, and I like it that way but it might make some styles kind of difficult. Ideas?

Yeah but its been like this forever..I don't know what else to do, my lifestyle ( which is basically a couch hopper) makes it hard to take care of my hair. It gets damaged easily and I'm having problems growing it longer because of that. I'm NOT saying I want to chop all of it off but its boring this way.

My hair is kinda the same. Long, curly, and BIG.
I used to hate it but now I wouldn't cut it off if you paid me.
You can do so much fun stuff with long hair. I do mine up like Sailor Moon quite often.
Maybe you should dread your hair. That would solve the problem of having to take care of it so much. Just a thought.

Dreads are quite high maintenance, from what I'm told by people that have them. Maybe you just need to have it thinned out, and about shoulder length...

Might be an option for you.

I think you should try a really angular cut, short in the back, and long in the front. And your hair is beautiful curly, btw.

I would get synthetics braided in but I have some deep seeded issues with natural dreads....its a thought.

I feel you about the high matienence. Now that my hair is long, I'm not sure what to do with it, so it always ends up in an ugly bun. I'm not sure if this would roll with you, but I've been doing pigtails. It keeps it out of the way and doesn't look too bad. Even if you don't have the time to brush it, with your curls it would just make them look fuller and not really messy (I would think?).

Been known to sport them in the past. Braids make me look native american though. pigtails
