It's based on Lovecraft and Tori Spelling's nowhere to be found.
They went out of their way to emulate the old silent films of the era. Complete with a terrible crackling sound track, pathetic acting, weak effects, uninspired camera work etc.

It was just basically a grab bag of "How can we take a classic horror story and turn it into 40 minutes of shit?"

I have seen 4 films based on the H.P. Lovecraft mythos, all if them made post 1990, all of them would disappoint Mr. Lovecraft imo.

That movie DAGON is passable if you are an enthusiast, but do not expect anything life altering.

You know I can't remember. I read a I saw U in the celebrity gossip in the Stranger. Some movie she was shooting in Tacoma. I think it mentioned Lovecraft, buuut then again it might have just been a prayer for the Old Ones to eat the set before her acting could infect anyone with the runs.

I've definately seen it. It's in the chintzy silent-movie style, complete with a lack of sound- other than music- crap sfx and the que-cards for dialogue.

In it's own way, it perfectly resembles the 1920s stuff. But, to be honest, there's no excuse of doing it in the way this group have.

I like his work...just don't say that name...(C...) makes me shiver...

I love H.P Lovecraft... But just about every movie based on his work has sucked worse than Earthsea.
