Default I Feel Kind Of Heroic.

Ok, So today I went out for a walk, and there were some children nearby. these two dogs ran out from some person's yard and then started to chase them down the street. I protected the children from the dogs, and fended them off, although during that stuff, I got bit in the left knee.

How deep does the bite have to be to pass on rabies?

Not deep at all...the dog simply has to be infected by it. When I was a teenager a family on our street had a dog that always got loose and chased people. No matter how much people complained the owners did nothing.

The next time it got our next door neighbor shot the dog dead...the family replaced it and THAT dog never got out or ran around without their owners in control of it.

You really need to repot that hun. Call animal control and they'll put the dog under quarentine and the people who owned the do will pay for your medical bills. The dog goes into quarentine for 10 days, After that ten days animal control tells you whether or not you need rabies shots. It's that or they cut off both your heads to find out if you have rabies. Rabies shots hurt like a bitch! Ever had a tetnus shot?

yeah, but even if I did, I wouldnt be allowed to goto a clinic.

(I already asked to goto the clinic for that, and they wouldnt let me. they said I wasnt worth going to the clinic for.)

If I ever go down the street with the dogs again, Ill try to write down the address and call the animal control.

I suspect I may get flamed over this but I've never liked dogs. There is the odd mutt that 'gets under the radar' as it were. But as a species I find them less than appealing. Cats though - there's no finer familiar on God's foul earth!

    I prefer Wolves Over Dogs.
Still, I like Cats and Dogs.

Uh, that's not really an option...or something you ask to do. You can get very very sick dude (if the dog had raibies mind you). I'd go anyway...forget the permission BS.

If I can get a friend to take me, I will try to go. there are pitbulls all over the place in this town, and the nearest clinic is several towns away.
