    Default Cheap ass Disney

This article shows how Disney saves money by replaying the same animation but for different movies/toons...i never noticed honestly!

It is written in Russian so if you want to read the story you can use the babelfish translator and translate the page.

well, of course! if you had to draw all that stuff by hand - even if you had a staff of hundreds of third-world peons to do the scutwork - Disney would still be working on "Steamboat Mickey".

True about technology today, but movies talked about there like Snow White(1937) are like before this type of technology was developed. Its not hard to see they would borrow different aspects of one movie to another since doing the movies by hand was long in production cost. Now if I went out and saw a movie like ROBOTS, or any other computer animated flik, and they stole scenes from one movie, and you could tell right away, that would be bad for them. But hey, when ya have kids that see them for the first time, they wouldnt know from one to the other.

it's not just disney. look at anime (take Evengelion- more recycled scenes than any animation ever!). That's just the nature of animation. Look at any bugs bunny short. The key to animation is "if you don't have to do something more than once, don't do it!"

I have noticed a lot of that on modern Day anime, but remember Thunder Cats, He-man, G.I. Joe, Silver hawks, Voltron, and of Course the most reused stuff in anime history SpeedRacer

see, folks? this is what happens when you rely on your slowly disintegrating, THC-soaked brain, rather than use something a little more postmodern, like google.
