Default How have you been keeping cool in this heatwave?

I went out yesterday shopping in a mall... it was 94 and humid as Hell. It was a bit cooler in there but everyone had the same idea. I was going for a birthday gift for a friend, lol. There is a pool and jacuzzi at this complex but the kids are going wild and have took it over hehe. They have to go to school soon, so I understand where they are coming from. Is anyone here without cental air? My condolences.

Apparently only 1 in 4 Angelenos has central air, but I am happily one of them. It was one of the only criteria I had for choosing a place. I get sick and foggy from too much heat really really easily, although cold doesn't really bother me.

I would love to jacuzzi round about now.

i actually fight the heat..with heat.
if im going out somewhere i leave the ac in the car off, and drive with the windows down. the more i get used to it the less hot it feels to me outside.

at home i keep it around 80 with the ac on and off. Just because when i use a 1500 Watt steamer for hours it gets a little stuffy, but notthing unbearable.

ice cream + reeses + blender = good summer snack

for some odd reason i like the ceiling fan better than the AC... AC makes my head all stuff... i need air to breathe...

    water. water. water.

a few years ago when i was in slightly bettter health i could withstand any amount of heat. didn't matter. i just stayed hydrated, and that was that.

now the heat, and dead air of subway tunnels is what doest me in. ugh.

    sad but true.

since i just stay at home & do housework for my parents. yep . . . . i just stay inside with the ac & work on keeping myself pale & pretty.

i'm a lucky little cunt. my life is pretty easy.

I work in this little european cyber cafe/commisarry coffe shop place. it's awesomely nifty, all teh foriegn chocolates i can eat.

I have no idea how i used to wear full length black shirts and pants, boots and a trench coat in this heat back in high school. man i was nuts. even when i didn't have the trench coat i had this huge blue "homeless guy's cordoury jacket" as Rob called it, that i wore instead of taking a purse, cause the pockets were awesomely huge, all six of 'em. and cause alot of times going into places with the AC way up i woudl freeze.but man was i nuts.

    i never sweat.
well of course i do but yeah
its like 90 outside. my boyfriend is sweating like crazy & i feel icky to touch him cause i dont have a drop of sweat on me.

sometimes i think i'm the coldest person in the world. cause i'm a popsicle while my friends are cozy & i'm comfortable when everyone else is burning up.
