    Default Dexter

So I just heard of this show called Dexter (I am way behind the times, I always hear of media related things months (sometimes years) after everyone else does :-> That's my excuse and I am stickin to it!) I went to my mom's for Easter and she leant me the DVD of the entire season that just passed and said it was MADE for me. (Whose mom says that abot a show having to do with a serial killer!?!??) Anyhow, I am officially hooked! I don't even have a TV in the house but I sure am enjoying watching it on the projection screen my lover has in the living room. Last night we entertained our morbid curiosities with the dogs curled up on our laps, drinking wine and eating dark chocolate. Anyone else love this show????

I like that actor who plays dexter. He was also in 6 feet under, which I enjoyed a lot. I'm looking forward to the DVD's to come out, I like to watch series in order in 2-3 hour chunks.

The guy they got to play dexter is pretty cool for the part. He doesn't come off as Willem DeFoe crazy, he is just a bit off. Some of the plot you see coming miles away, but a few twists are in there. But the characters are pretty cool, that's what kept me in. Plus the rest of cast kinda rocks.

I would make my test all big and colorful too, but I haven't seen the show for ages, hope they do a season 2.

Dexter is excellent, I got Muse hooked on it...
so far we'll have to just keep busy with the
last of The Sopranos and The Shield until
Dex starts back up for season 2... and I'm
keeping her from reading the Jeff Lindsay
novels that the series is based on.

Then again, with over 1500 DVDs and over
3.4Tb of other movies, tv shows, games and
pr0n... we tend to stay entertained anyhow.

I watched Dexter on showtime all the time, it's one of the few TV shows I have the patience for. I can't wait til the next season. I didn't even know it was based on a book though, I feel stupid now lol.
Thanks Hemp. I'll have to read them now... >.>

The first season went pretty much by the book,
(so to speak)... and everyone made a mad dash
to get the second and third books, thinking that
they would have a heads up on the upcoming
shows. Once the production team caught wind,
they brought in writers to completely rewrite and
restructure season 2... or so goes the rumours
    at this point.

I guess we'll find out come Sept. 30th, when
season two starts to see if it's true.

Cool. The whole "base it on the books" idea is good, but originality certainly gets bonus points if they do it right. I'd like to read the books anyways.
