Cliched momoents

Have you ever been part of or observed a "cliched moment"? If you have let us know what it was and how you were involved.

For me the biggest one happened tonight. I was on my way home from work, ( had a couple of beers after with friends) so I took the bus home. It's about 11:25 p.m. and I'm walking up the road I live on. The road I live on has no street lamps at all so it's really dark. The weather man is calling for severe thunder storms. As I'm walking home I see the lightning in the night sky on the horizon, and you can only see the details of the sky when the lightning strikes. I am walking up this long straight road defiant to all the wind and rain that is starting to form in total darkness, except for being illuminated by bolts of lightning off in the distance.

That is one moment I have read about in many books where the hero is marching to his ominous doom but continues on regardless.

I guess having my first real kiss at 13, and it being under a full moon on Halloween is about the most "cliched" thing I have ever had happen.

This one time I was leaving from one of my friend's house, and I forgot my lighter. So I walk back up the stairs, and as I touch my hand to the door knob...BAM! The door opens and my friend hands me my lighter.

Yeah that's a bit weird. I've gone over to people's houses before and as I was just about to knock on the door they open it. It's not cliche but it is quite a coincidence.
