To me, the only thing worse than caring a lot about the ups and downs of the characters on Days of Our Lives, is getting wound up about the characters in Us Weekly and thinking it's all real and somehow important. False idols propped up to be knocked down, just to fulfill a certain self focused need for superiority. I don't know who Britney Spears' sister is and there is no reason I should. She doesn't have a massively popular pop music contribution to culture, as far as I know, so what purpose does it serve to be smug about her personal life?

If you ever glance at those US/People/etc magazines in the aisles at the grocery store, all lined up, you'll notice that about half of them are berating female celebrities for being too fat while the other half are berating other female celebrities for having anorexia. If I may climb up on my feminist soapbox for a moment, Juno is some serious patriarchy BS. Anyone I know who has had an abortion, who saw that movie, felt terrible. I think that means it is pro-"life" and anti-choice propaganda. In addition, most everyone I know in Hollywood believes that that Diablo Cody chick didn't write the thing. A man actually wrote it, but people thought the message and PR would be more convincing if it came from a tattooed slutty hipster chick and not an older established man.

Totally incorrect. Apparently the real father of Jamie Lynn's child is an executive at the company that makes her show. The bit with the boyfriend is a blind to keep some old fart with tons of money out of jail.
