What do you think of the new season of Aqua Teen Hunger Force?

Just started watching the new season of ATHF and was wondering what folks think of it so far. I think they have gone Hollywood. The moment where Frylock points his superior cell phone at Master Shake and demonstrates its better, smaller, more fashionable tech was a moment of pure sweet Los Angeles boo-ya.

Its a lot like most of the cartoon network shows. Some of the stuff sucks, but the other stuff is Hilarious.

ATHF and sealab 2021 are both great but my favorite of adultswim is the venture borthers...it's fuckin' awesome.

I haven't really had a chance to watch the new season hopfully it wont go down the crapper like shows of it's kind are prone to do.

I've seen the promos for Venture Bros, but could never figure out what it was about. What is the basic premise/what is good about it?

I didnt watch an entire episode for the show yet, but it seems to be about some scientist, his sons, a bodyguard, then some rivals for him, etc.

remember the old jonny quest show, well it's a spoof of that. it's great the bodyguard is just this big dumb sex crazed guy, the two brothers( instead of jonny and his indian friend) are complete idiots,
the father even kinda looks like the dad from jonny quest. they use similar but oddly different villians...sex and danger what more do you need from a cartoon

it should also be noted that if your not a fan of jonny quest it may be hard to get into this show.

Its kind of difficult to explain, but in most 70's cartoons, the stars were always running away or hiding all the time.

Wait, Im thinking of Scooby Doo.

Anyways, Johnny Quest was similar in a lot of ways. The plot was basically the same in most of the shows, but with different characters, settings, etc.

Yep. Thats Why I said it was awesome.

Scooby Doo was a kind of show you could relax to for some reason.

The new season has been pretty damned hilarious...the cell phone episode is classic...the "Mp3 Addon" had me gut laughing.

The Venture Brothers sucks...sorry but it's just lame. It carries it's jokes past the punchline and your left with pretty god awful scenes.

The Johnny Quest influence is of course there but it jsut never comes together...a real shame too cause I had high hopes for it.

Sea Lab has been on a roll lately...for me it's the top show in terms of writing.

I love ATHF, there are just so many great one-liners in it that it's hard to top.

Between the Mooninites, the Plutonians, Carl, Dr. Weird and all the others I think that it's probably the most consistently funny show on TV.

"Gentlemen! I Give you..... CORN!" (The corn then flies at Steve the assistant and pins him to the wall.)



Sealab hasn't been the same without Harry Goz, but his son (The voice of the new Captain) and the return of appearances by MC Chris (Hesh) have made the new episodes alot better than I had expected them to be.

And it's episodes can sometime go either way some are hilarious, and some are not so good. (It's more fun to make fun of the "Tin Fins" Episode than it is to watch it.)

It's just cheap schlock. I really don't think it deserves anymore of my time than the duration of the show lasts. That's not to say I don't like it, it's just a show.
