OK, I should get some kind of latex award for repairing this huge black latex Vampire dress! It had so many rips, tears and hole in it. I fixed them all with crazy glue and black electrician/duct tape!!!!

If Latex Melts in Heat, wouldnt that possibly help in repairing them, like putting the torn area together, then taking some Iron and fusing them together?
i usually just use a low heat soldering iron or electrical tape
Thats sort of what I meant.
i know i was just trying to give a clear personal example
I should get one of those!!! Good idea. Can you get soldering irons at a hardware store? Is this a really blonde question?Originally Posted by Kidthorazine
Yup...arts and craft stores have them as well.Originally Posted by MistressJennifer
you can get a decint cheap one at radio shack as well just either get the lowest power or an adjustable one becace it can get too hot andscrew up the latex or vinyl or whatever
just out of curiosity have you looked in the phone book for someone who fixes latex stuff - I dont know thers gotto be some kind of commercial use for the stuff- and see what they use
no one really bothers to fix commercial latex stuff because its cheaper to replace it you may possibly be able to find a seamstress that fixes latex clothing but evryone i know uses a soldering iron
I have asked around, and people in the latex stores, fetish goth stores, if they do repair on lates and they say that they will do it, but then they get really stoned and forget...Originally Posted by Mr Karl

Sausalito? Latex in Sausalito? The khaki capitol of the world?
Actually, let me amend my statement, this is what always happens in New York, I find someone who can fix latex, but his jealous girlfriend won't let him talk to me!!! This really happened!!!
This happens to me in NY all the time!! All the clubs are run by jealous girlfriends who don't want me around their men!! Hah!!
I meant I'll find u a place in NYC, silly. I know a bunch of doms and freakies out there. I'll make a note of the beeyatch g/fs hehe.Originally Posted by MistressJennifer

Found the name:
*THE NOOSE* on 19th St on the Westside (Chelsea). It's run by a chick so no jealous g/fs. You go in and there'll be mens leather, then latex, then a dressing room. In the back is the workshop. Be polite and she'll do a half decent job. Otherwise, you'd have to find the guy from Siren out in the Bay Area. He is the best. The Noose should be ok, tho.![]()

Oh yes, The Noose... They have some nice stuff. Oh yes, I remember, it takes 3 months, they have to send it to England, I didn't want to wait that long.
So I was shining up the latex dress I repaired, and the rubber is so old that it actually disintegrated where the hanger hung it up!! I had to do the crazy glue and duct tape thing again. This dress has had it!!! I should really just buy a new one. A soldiering iron would just melt a hole in it. It is just beat up and old....
I bet you looked great tho. It's so punk rock when you think about it.Originally Posted by MistressJennifer

OK, so I tried on the latex dress for the shoot, total static electricity on my hair, could not get my hair to calm down.
So I tried just pushing my hair back, then the entire dress just RIPPED completely in half!!!
The gothic god of latex was just not having me shoot in that dress!!!!! That dress belonged to my girlfriend who disappeared into the crack dens on New York. Maybe I was getting her bad crack vibes.
So I tossed the dress into the garbage can!!!!!
hehe damn. Would have made some interesting pics if they caught it slow-mo while it ripped thoOriginally Posted by MistressJennifer
