Default The Beast rests for another 4 Years

Now that the war for ones vote is quiet for another 4 years one hopes that this nation will remember that funny reality where we're all part of the same country. Yeah yeah I know...too much to ask but hey one can dream right?

Sure one can spend the next 4 years like a whiney kid who didn't get a toy they wanted but hey...sometimes you just lose and in this case losing is not the end of the world. One does have a voice and using it can still bring about change.

If you're of the camp who is happy with last nights results then your mission is easy...live up to your promises and remember we DO have rights in this country and security is not worth losing them.

To the international crowd...well it's a bit complicated since their will always be a love/hate relationship. Other nations say "Americans are overweight warmongering idiots" while Americans say "fuck em." But their is love and respect there...it's kinda like the realtionship siblings have. Sure you wanna kill each other but at the end of the day you'll still have each others back. Besides we;re all so similar these days the critiques lobbed against each other are fucking stupid.

Hopefully the next 4 years turn out better than the last...I think they can but only if we remember we're all in the same boat as it where and while it's not sinking...our feet are pretty wet.

And obviously they have the money to continue to be elected.
It's funny, my friend and I were talking about the American election and decided something about politicians (Canadian politicians included)...They sure do WASTE a lot of money for their selfish own good!
How much money do you think those flights that both Bush and Kerry took around the country cost? Do you think that just maybe, they could have saved like a million dollars combined if they just didn't fly around the country continuously for weeks on end? Maybe that money could have been used to..oh..I don't know, help schools, or health, or the homeless...or.....fill in the blank..

So here is the other thing I'm thinking....ANYONE and EVERYONE has the right to vote..that I'm not complaining about, that's what democracy is all about right!? But maybe some people should just not vote when they are undecided or have to choose the worst of two evils...I guess that's what Nader was for right?

Speaking of Nader...I find it really funny that he is considered so little by the American people...I bet you he would do a lot more good for the "little guy" than Bush ever will. America is already losing it's supernation status to countries like China and Japan, so maybe they should start worrying more about healthcare and the environment...just an idea.

So yeah, that's my little blab about the American election. I hope I didn't offend anyone, but I figure if there is anywhere that I can just speak my mind, it's here.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Bush does you Americans more good than he has in the past four years, and I hope he decides that Canada really is an Ally (considering we are the ones with all the renewable resources etc.)

    Cost for the 2004 election...4 Billion...yes...Billion.

Air Faire...well the tax payers pay for Air Force One and Kerry's wife owned his plane but due to election cost he had to pay here I think $40 grand a week to use it...funny laws.

But that's the price of modern politics...it's always high.

And he might manage to push through more constitutional changes, such as third terms....
