Do you know what foods take more calories to digest than are in them? Supposedly celery takes more calories to digest than are in celery. And I've been really CRAVING celery lately. I don't normally even eat it, so that is sort of an odd craving.

Well, if you think back to over the past several days/weeks, you might be able to figure out what triggered that craving.
On a side note: Even though I hate Celery, I heard it is great for dipping into stuff like peanut butter for some really cool tasty treats.
On a Side note to the side note that is a lot more fun: I also think celery could possibly make a great prop/toy for some photo shoots,etc....*Wink,Wink*
Yeah, celery does, and it won't even digest properly at ALL. This is because of the celulose. Cellulose is a sugar found ONLY in vegetables and the stiffer the vegetables, the higher the cellulose. (Take THAT vegetarians!)
Beans also use more calories than normal to digest, but not so many that you end up taking in negative calories. This is because the protien strains need to be re-arragned into a more easily-usable form by your body. The after-effect to this re-arrangement is flatulence -- think of beans like gasoline, your body like a car and your asshole like the exhaust pipe; it's the same basic idea.
This is just more proof that NASA needs to get off their collective ass and design all our food to fit in a lil pill.
But that would take the fun and kinkiness out of eating, unless you used the pill as a sepositoryOriginally Posted by Tequila Zaire
I wish there were just non calorie foods. but that wont happen. I hate celery. I cant eat it, not for anything. It tastes like dirt.
I so agree. That would make life so much more simpler. In fact if I had three wishes from a genie....that would be my very first wish...that all food was calorie free, fat free, and sugar free but tasted amazing!Originally Posted by CeruleanFire
