Default Something that a cop told a friend of mine.

Well, this cop was talking to my friend. He was like," Do you really try to solve all the cases where people are killed?"

The cop replied," Not really. In fact; we dont really care if people kill people, but we have to act like we do if they make the murder tracable. "

Or some such stuff like that.

Cops seemed to have really gone downhill in the past 25 years.

I agree. Some parts are better, but lots of other stuff has gotten worse.

I never had that impression from our cops over here. On the other hand, I actually never killed somebody, but they nevertheless were very eager to fuck me over, everytime they caught me doing something.. illegal.. :\

Here where I live, if you report shots fired, the cops will only look around outside and then leave, because they're cowards. However, if you report a body, there are suddenly twenty cruisers, if they think the perp has left the scene.....

    My run in with cops......

For about 2 years I drove a school bus, my first summer I got hired to do a trip for a bachelor party. I had to drive to Carbondale (7 miles south of Topeka, not very far) back to Topeka so they could eat dinner at a bar. Then afterwards, we went to Lawrence (25 miles east of Topeka) to this strip club called the Outhouse. It's not the greatest strip club, but it is really cool. The place is BYOB so my group had coolers full of Busch and Natty Light. We were there for about 6 hours so needless to say, they were piss drunk. But they were cool enough to buy me a lapdance. Anyways when we leave, I take the way I know of getting through this town to get to the highway to get back to their house, the problem was that I had gone down Massachusets Ave (where all the bars are in Lawrence, all 30 of them) at 5 minutes after closing time so people were out on the street. My group opened up the windows and opened the emergency exit and started screaming shit like "show us your tits" out the bus. About 2 blocks before I get to the exit, I get pulled over by 4 Lawrence Police cars. The first cop to get there (named officer Mulletron) grilled me for about 5 minutes that I would lose my license and that I should never come to Lawrence again. Being the polite person I am all I said was "yes sir" and "uh huh" to all the shit officer Mulletron was saying. They made me exit my bus and they proceeded to grill my passengers for 20 minutes. They got all their license numbers and told them if they pulled any more shit in Lawrence they would be arrested and other shit like that.
As a side note, a local radio station that week was doing a call in to what was the wildest bachelor party you ever went to, Officer Mulletron called in and told them about my party, and how he had pulled over a school bus full of drunks on Mass. Ave.................. and that's my story.

They are horrible in Washington State! Absolutely crazy. You can go the speed limit and get pulled over for speeding. Of course, there is no arguing, they just hand you the ticket and go back to their hiding places (like thieves). I'm related to two ex-police (one being a former captain) and on an individual basis, I can say they can be even more rotten.

I used to say I liked a lot, the ones I knew that saved people's lives, actually shut down contaminated crack houses and made sure people were doing alright when they had car trouble. But, now they act the part of being sub-par rodents or carrion birds, stealing and lying. I trust a thief far more. The violent reactions, in both the streets and courts of law, against them, come as no surprise to me.

Now it depends on where you are on how terrible the cops are. In Fla I never had a problem. My mom's dad was a detective in Miami and was rather well known for it. A little bit of name dropping and all I got was a ride home.
Here in LA that's another story ENTIRELY! When my car was robbed a little over a month ago and all my cds were stolen, a bunch of other stuff was taken, too in a large box that was kept in the back seat full of crap for the convention that weekend. The box and a few other items were returned to the front stoop of the building. We took the box (without touching anything) down to the police station when we filed the report. They refused to try and take prints even though we brought them the evidence. Gave the bull dyke a good scare though. Appearantly people in LA have this habit of when they find, like a pipe bomb (or similar) on their property, they'll put it in a card board box and carry it in to the station. She thought I had a bomb in the box. :p But then there wasn't an unarmed black man involved in robbing my car so naturally there would be nothing done by the LAPD...

I don't think I can think of cops in L.A. and not think of the words of NWA, these days (straight out of you know where). The cops have topped some of their exploits on that group's albums, far and above.
