Well, having written to him before, I can give you a few pointers.

For starters, if you're worried about certain people in your household finding out, get your letters from him directed to a friend's place (who is happy to use their address) or get yourself a PO Box. A PO box should probably be cheaper if you don't receive mail twice weekly in it. At least they are in Australia.

Secondly, Richard is very friendly and open about pretty much anything... just, for the love of God, do not write to him and ask about the murders... especially not before you exchange at least 5 or 6 letters. I still haven't asked him about the murders, and probably never will, because the letters we write are just friendly.

Also, he likes Asian rope porn haha so he may ask you to send him some, or even if you have any Asian friends willing to write to him.
He will most likely ask for photos of you at some stage, and if you send them, he'll probably ask you to pose in lingerie for him hehehehe.

I've read loads about serial killers as well, as have most people on this board I imagine. I understand the intrest, I just don't understand why women would send sexy pictures to a rapist/murderer? He's a fucking cunt. Do you find it charming that he ***** an 80 year old woman before he murdered her?

Hey...when you wrote to Richard - how long did it take for him to write back?
I read somewhere that someone wrote him and it took a year for him to finally reply, thats nuts..he must be one busy man..lol. I wonder if one were to include a picture with the first letter if you'd get a faster reponse from him.

I wrote to Richard about a month ago and got a letter back from him yesterday. He was very nice!

I don't write to him much anymore, I have a lot more going on now than I did when I first started to write to him. He is very nice in his letters, but remember they are manipulative, and he will possibly ask for photos of you in lingerie, swimmers, whatever (as nude pics aren't able to make it past prison mail rooms), and he might ask for stamps, money orders, etc.

And, as an answer to Toe Cutter's question: Personally, I don't find anything about him attractive... I am merely interested in crime and because I didn't get the right marks and what not in the subjects I did at school, I thought there may be other things I can do rather if I can't get into a course which studies the minds of these criminals.
If I was to ever get into the course, I could use the letters as a reference in an essay.
If I never got into the course, I could say I did it anyway, because it really is quite a big thing to be personally acknowledged by somebody who is considered one of the most evil people in modern history.

It's not really flattering... it's just I really had a big interest in serial killers at the time, so I thought I might try to get to know him a little.

There was a book back in the 80's called "Women Who Love Too Much" that explained that whole phenomenon of women who fall in love with serial killers in prison and other bad boys. It's like they are recreating the relationship they had with an abusive parent, and then trying to make it come out right this time. Sad but facinating. Altho not the case with you, obviously.
