Tonight the Italian liquor company that produces Tuaca, and the Red Bull company sponsored an "Industry only" showing of the Body Art Ball. This event is half burlesque show and half body-paint competition. The show was awesome and some of the body paint jobs were friggin' incredible. Because of a couple of connections from my job my friend Penny and I were given the VIP passes which included free drinks and eats.
The highlight of the show was an act called "Marilyn" in which a lovely young lady came out in nothing but a flowing white skirt, high heels and a painted on dress ala Marilyn Monroe from "The Seven Year Itch." She walked out with her right side facing directly toward the audience and began her routine. A minute or so into it, the music makes a hard cut to Marilyn Manson's "Beautiful People" and the dancer makes a 180 degree turn to expose the left side of her, which is painted up like Marilyn Manson and she goes batshit crazy! Through the rest of her act she creatively cuts back and forth, all the while putting on a hell of a dance number.
I'd never tried Tuaca before tonight. Mainly because it always sounded uncomfortably close to Cloaca  . But the shit ain't bad and they throw a decent party. Anyone in the booze-biz should keep an eye out to see if the tour is hitting your town. It's a fun couple hours and you can't beat the price.
