Default Do you want life to be fair? Do you believe in karma?

Does it bother you when life is not fair?

I know some people start out with better raw materials than others -- smarter, healthier, prettier, stronger, etc. -- and I accept that.

But I want to believe that actions have consequences and good actions have good consequences and bad actions have bad consequences. I want to believe that what we do makes a difference.

Do you believe in karma? Do you believe in the rule of three? Do you believe the good you do comes back to you? Do you believe the bad you do comes back to you?

Do you wish those things were true but sometimes falter in the faith that they are?

I definetly believe in karma and cant really remember any shitty things I've done that havent come back to me. Personally I feel that if you expel negative energy and vibes into the world, you make yourself a magnet for same kind of energy, and vice versa.

the rule of three.... i'm not really sure i'd break it down that specifically, but i'm not really wiccan.

Karma is very slow- but it exists. This year I have definate proof of that in some things. The rule of three always applies. The negative karmic energy some people put out is horrible- and it always re-manifests in some way back to them. We just have to sit and be patient.

I'm not just saying that b/c it's my name (ha ha)

Patience is key. Over the past several years, I've had to work out a lot of issues relating to PTSD. The incidents they sprung from were not "fair". It isn't "fair" that one has to watch numerous people die in their 20s of natural causes. It is mine to deal with, however. Fairness does not enter the equation.

First: I had to examine myself.

    1. I have to watch my words and actions. At the same time, I have to realize I'm fallible.

    2. I had to eliminate the contamination of other people in need of constant conflict and attention. I was always drawn to the fringe. When I see one person always in the middle of some drama, I have to drop that person immediately and completely. My tendency was to pity them until I was drawn into their bullshit with others.

    3. This applies to negative situations as well. If they do not bring a true sense of fulfillment and self-growth, they should be eliminated.

    4. I do believe in helping others. I think we control karma to the extent we use discernment. Discernment, in this sense, means doing actual good. Intent will often backfire.

Do I wish the world were fair? I don't believe I can afford to. Life is a good thing. You just have to accept that some things are beyond your control.

Your #2 comment has nothing much to do with Karma or being 'fair'- it has to do with a form of vampirism. Certain people are drawn to creating drama and feeding off that drama in order to give energy to themselves so they can function. They are contaminants in that you can just ignore them and they will go away- don't even acknowledge nor pity them-that in itself is a way of feeding them.
We can't always do good for the world- but our intentions are the only thing that matters. Life, and the world- is not 'fair' nor 'unfair'. It is all in how we percieve it.

I don't see life as fair or unfair either. I just know what needed to be eliminated to simplify my life. In so doing, I am in a better postion to make my own destiny. Perceptions of life are intertwined with responses to events and circumstances. All the steps I mentioned were simply minor aspects of how I came to deal with this conclusion. My life has improved immensely as a consequence. Discerment is key (in answer to your specific point)

and a belief as well. If you don't believe- the word holds no meaning. To you it may be a word- but for India, for instance- it is a belief and a way of life.

I believe in karma. I wish all world did so, it would certainly be a better place to live if all believed. But then, sometimes I feel like lying to my self because of all unfairness going on around me.

I don't think in rule of three, in my opinion that wouldn't be so fair

One more thing about intention, Sun Karma mentioned that they are only thing that matters. I still think that they aren't enough. One should at least provide psychical support to the person who needs it. Give a good advice if not able to help materialy. And most important, share the good wibes.

I realised, that in verbal conflict negative energy tend to pass from person to person. If you concentrate hard enough to overcome it you can absorb it and not fall under it to send it back and instead you ease the conflict. That in my opinion is a good thing to do. Not making bad things worse (I hope you guys understood what I meant)

karma is supposd to follow you into your next life-youre a dick in this life, youll get fucked over in your next life etc. tc. im more a fan of curses. but i loo at farness like this....if you all you had to eat for you entire life was sugary sweets then youll end up a metric ton with no teeth and badgas. so theres a reason life's
not fair.if it was then it would suck.

I rather like Olix's and Malcom's view as well. Hmm. Lots to think about.

Is it the road to heaven or the road to hell that is paved with 'good intentions'? Sometimes it is enough to me if a person has them- and tries to make them manifest than just thinking "shiny happy thoughts" toward one another and having them be hollow.

Although I rather like curses as well- but only if they are deserved. And since I try not to judge- this puts me in a dilemna and a quandry.

    I'm torn.

i dont believe in it but i believe that people who engage in risky behavior will eventually loose a battle such as red light runners, bullys, meanies they will all eventually run into someone like them that is better and with a bigger car bigger firends and since they are not adept at backing down it will get ugly
