What's your favorite beer?

So what is your favorite beer? I tend to sort of automatically order Heineken because it is commonly available and I like it. When I lived in Germany, I tended to just order whatever kolsch or pilsner was on tap because pretty much all German beer tastes good.

Dos Equis and Corona w/lime. I don't usually drink beer though but from time to time. I am more of a Cuervo Gold type woman.

Difficult to pick just one. Paulaner Pils is probably my favorite, followed closely by Lowenbrau and Weihenstephaner Lager. My favorite cheap beers are Miller Lite and PBR.

It used to be Sternburg Export, it's one of the cheepest beers and it's tasting quite okay. But after more than 3 years of massive consumption, the antifreezer in Sternburg makes me kind of sick, and I switched to Berliner Pilsener, which costs about 15 cents more, but has less chemicals.

I like Dos Equis as well. I've never tried Tecate, but i certainly would. And i love the lime in the Corona.

Now that Brazilian beer that came to Canada about a year ago - Bavaria, i think? Now that is some seriously nasty, skunky stuff according to my palate. Blech.

I'm not a beer person. One occasion though i was tempted to try a beer called Blue Moon Dessert Beer, (a resturaunt back home has a "round the world in beers" thing), from some european country or another, this was along time ago. It was quite good, but still not quite my type of drink. Vodka and Cranberry for me (NO LIME!).

Tell me, is absinthe really as foul and ass kicking as they say? I can't go down to the corner liquor store here and pick up a bottle and I want to know if it's worth the trouble of ordering a bottle to import.

YES!!! definately, it tastes like shit if u drink it straight but if u have it with sugar or coke or something then it's the nicest drink ever
I usually get a brand called hapsburg which is really nice and you can get different strengths, gold label is the strongest which i get and thats 89.9% alchohol (i have no idea what that is in proof) and it's £45 a bottle (again no idea what it is in dollars)

be careful though it's evil as fuck and if u start going numb from drinking it then stop!!! it means the alchohol is cutting off your blood supply or something

That's like Everclear. Can it even have any taste if it's that strong? Just save your money and buy Everclear or pure (not denatured) ethanol if you can find it.

I highly recomend Chimay Grande Reserve. It's only available in certain liquor stores and is a bit pricey, but worth every penny. If your idea of high class imports are Heineken, Corona, or Guinness, then you simply haven't lived. Those aren't bad, but there's a whole world of great beer that isn't mass-produced and the taste is far superior. You just have to do a little searching.

According to the other members of the house I must now have a bottle of each. 1 drinkable absinthe, 1...err, guests absinthe and a bottle of Thai Royal whiskey. I can buy a bottle of Absinthe a block and a half from my house, but i live in a bit of a rough neighbourhood. By Canadian standards, that is. When you say drink Absinthe with sugar, what exactly do you mean Sceptic?
