talking astral projection my dears, or oobe (out of body experience.)
not to be confused with near death experiences though.....do you think it's possible to experience one or have you experienced one yourself?

I think it is certainly possible for people to believe and reliably relate their experiences. I read a lot of the books on the subject when I was in college. I can't say I have any related experiences, but I'm open to the notion, at least based on all the readings I've done so far.
the reaosn i was wondering is one of my "sisters: was telling me i should try to take a astral trip to relive stress us i've been pretty stressed lately(mom in the hospital ,an ex girlfriend lying to me about having cancer then cheating on me with a guy whil i was up worrying about her, job hunting etc.) and low on funds. i had read a few things on it via the interwebs which is not always the most reosurceful of sources and it sounds interesting plus i could use a holiday pretty bad. maybe go somewhere quiet and peaceful with lots of trees and and honey suckle.
I tried for a summer while working a night job somewhere - was unable to see cars outside the buildingGot as far as the dark closet down the hall.
Astral projection? Workin on it as well as many similar projects, but im not having as much luck
same here it's supposed to require focus and a clear mind.......i just can't seem to clear my mind long enough to meditate lately.
Thats my main problem, but sometimes it just clicks like most things
yeah that's probably how itll happen for me too. problem is there's so many places i'd like to see i dont know where i wanna go first...should i take babysteps, meet my spirit guide? i wanna see if i can see the mountain of fruit and flowers maybe see what i look like after my operation's done etc.
I pick some thing and change if it doesnt 'feel' right, but I recommend that you start off with real easy stuff (I started with basic psi manipulation) then work on harder stuff.
I agree you should definitely start out small. Some of Christopher Penzaks stuff is very good for beginners (temple of inner witchcraft I would recommend). However his stuff is heavily laden with wicca so if you dont believe in that you will just have to take it with a grain of salt. The basic concepts are there, though.
<----wiccan lol
Oh then youll enjoy it. Its a great book! I personally dont follow wicca so I had to sift through it, but its not that difficult.
I've managed to do this on one rare occasion, but it didn't come easily or even when I expected it to. I just remember being able to see myself as I stood up, and as soon as it occurred to me that my body was no longer a hindrance, I took a trip along the streets of my hometown. I believe I thought at the time that I was experiencing a very elaborate dream. I eventually journeyed as far as the Going-To-The-Sun Highway at Glacier Ntnl. Park, until I either reached the limit of my leash or sensed that my body was being tampered with. All I remember is the violent jolt of being snapped back into my physical form, then sitting up with a shock and deciding that I needed to try that again as soon as possible! It was years later before I even came close; I've never quite been able to repeat the experience. Perhaps with K's help...
don't see a need for doing it in my life
I used to think I could astrally project when I was a teenager. I have not tried in a long time. Since my reality is created in my head, and yours in your head, perhaps these things are more possible than we think.

I like imaginary friends. They don't ever question my ridiculous ideals and they let me use them to skirt responsibility. I am now a believer in "God".Originally Posted by Aza
