So After four hours in the waiting room lastnight at the ER I found out that not only do I have strep but the reason for my ear gushing blood(yeah it was gross) is a nasty ear infection, and if my ear pops it will rupture my ear drum...oi! I love pain killers though

SO everyone feel sorry for me, this is the 5th time ive been sick since having my son 11 months ago, and before that I had a 7 year streak of no sicknesses

Take care of yourself. Try not to sneeze, that might cause an ear drum problem as well.

THANKS YOU GUYS...I feel worse this morning too...blah , they gave me a four day antibiotic and Vicodin...I dont think its working *crawls away and dies*

You could try going on a bender, afterall alcohol kills germs/bacteria/etc. and doctors always say you should drink lots of fluids.

On a serious note. Yeah it sucks, I think it's a case of it's gonna get worse before it gets better. As for the strep I wouldn't suggest eating any solids (I'm sure you know this already), and just get as much sleep/down time as possible. Give your body as much time as you can for it to concentrate on fighting the viruses.

4 day run of antibiotics? thats IT?? ive never had less than a week... sometimes 2 weeks.
ive never heard of that...
seems im sick too... nautious always but i have my ginger and peach tea, its kinda working...
ginger tea if youre feeling nautious

actually apparently ginger tea is really good for everything... although... it tastes like complete ass. chop up some fresh ginger and put some in a boiling cup of tea, boil it for a bit and strain it... add honey so it dont make you hurl from the taste...

i had an ear infection for a couple of years, but i refused to see a quack.

turns out it would have been better if i had - now i have hearing loss. oh weeeelll.

go the penicilin, especially if you're prone to ear infections. my kids get 'em too. (narrow ear canals inherited)

PS: DON'T PUT ANYTHING SMALLER THAN YOUR ELBOW IN YOUR EAR. no matter how much you need to ... it will just make it worse. go the drugs!

you could also say "don't put anything in your ear at all."
