I hate to state my age...but I am under 18...I have NO legal power to do anything. I've BEEN telling my dad that we need to move. I would have no problem moving in with my mom...except well she can't support me financially for a long period of time.

google it, there are plenty of places that sell them. Try home security websites first as theyll usually have the best stuff at the best prices. cause some places that sell those hidden cams are ripoffs.

yeah for sure... haha my first thought was the spy store, if you have one near you... theres one near my house, and they wont even let you in the door without proof that youre actualy there to buy something. its crazyness.

i can see why you suspect your sister, my family has a curse like that- her names amanda, she ran off with her boyfriend- but still comes home occasionaly to rob her perents blind. go with the hidden camera idea- but first: change the locks, if she has keys that might slow her down a bit- and if she trys to break a window, next door might hear her.

Were you guys in the house when it happened? If not, you should wait a few days (or weeks, if the one before wasn't too close to the latest one) and try to fool the burglars by having one of you leave and the other stay in the house with the lights out, waiting for them. If they try it, you can attack them and claim self defence. Make sure you use a weapon that is readily available in the house, (baseball bat, golf club, spade, kitchen knife, large glass ashtray, anything that you can claim "It just came to hand...")

yeah actually since you live in a rental property, see about getting the locks changed, if it is your siter and she has keys then you can slow her down or prevent her from entering completely, especially if you trap the windows (there are various ways to do that) but im still thinking the camera would be the best bet, and maybe a safe.

WA state doesn't have a self defense law...sooo I'd be charged with assault no matter what.

If I can get subpoena against this one money order place (forgot the name, but its a big one), I can figure out who they were trying to send money to, becausee they stole my paypal debit card, but it was declined.

yeah, and most of them require thier own TV/VCR too, make sure you get that, although there are some newer ones that use harddrives those cost a shitload.

hidden cameras aren't expensive unless you absolutely must have one that fits in a teddy bears eye. Just put a hole in the wall put a camera in it and throw a clock over it to hide the hole like they did in scarface, as for locks, go to the hardware store get a few big eyebolts, a nice length of chain, and a good padlock and put all that stuff on the outside of the door and frame and if the landlord complains tell him to talk to someone who cares. as for your stuff get a good solid trunk, that locks good, lag it to the floor, throw all your stuff in it when you aren't home and lock it.
Now if someone really wants your stuff then getting it will make so much fucking noise and take a nice bit of time that if noone notices anything then you know it's some in your building.
