I only saw a few lil parts of it, but the lil I did see I agree he did have it down, and welcome to the Blue Blood Boards![]()
I havent seen it, but I heard from someone that it wasnt that great. I was looking forward to seeing it, but I forgot, lol.
Well once you see the real manson videos it's hard to see someone try to act like him.
You should hunt down some bootlegs like The Manson Gang. It's pretty rare but it rocks. It's all about Manson and the Family. It even talks about the process church. It's pretty weird.
It must have been fun to play on dune buggy's in the desert. Especially if home wasn't that geat, impressionable minds can be taught ruthless things.

jeremy davies as manson? please. steve railsback was so much better in the original, and even THAT was a joke (bugliosi, go away). railsback did an awesome job with the infamous courtroom 'the children that come at you with knives' monologue... did the remake even HAVE it?
what a waste of time and effort the remake was... i collect mansonalia (and, yeah, i do own the MANSON documentary), and the remake (why?) has to be the worst addition to my obsessive collection i've come across. even worse than the latest leslie van houten book -- and that's sayin' a lot.

I'm really in to True Crime, and Manson, is for a lot of True Crime buffs the link between Organized Crime and Cults (he shared a cell with Alvin "Creepy" Karpis). Any movie is interesting to me, but I take it with a grain of salt and a comparative eye. But, thanks for the heads up on the new stuff. I really like others views. Thanks Szandora for the documentary stuff. I do have to quote Turbonegro here:
"People with thick glasses glorifying serial killers.
"Hobbit Motherfuckers. No guts. No glory. No riot.
"My generation sucks."
In that, the man really screwed up a lot of people that are still alive. There is nothing worth while about the guy other than he made some mistakes and we can learn from him. Columbine and so many others have found their roots with this fellow. Please ignore him and let him die...
...is a feeling I have about Manson. Yet, by the same token, he is interesting and charismatic. So often leaders, politicians and cultists are.
Ah, the complexities of though.
I'm not sure if I saw the version you are talking about or not
I saw it and liked it, if it is "Helter Skelter" that you are refering to. The fact is, there is a very fine line between genius (really brilliant) and insanity (completely nuts)...in your opinion, which is he?...(based on his actions and beliefs.)
Well, based on what I said, it should come to no one's surprise that I think he is a slightly clever hood, who got lucky.Originally Posted by MidniteCliche
How many times are they going to tell the same story? The same lies, the same bullshit. If people want to know what Manson is really about , read on his philosophy, not Hollywood's version of it. I am not saying 7 people aren't dead, they obviously are but let's get the facts straight before presenting them.
