Speaking lame as it's poorly portrayed? Or the fact of vampires in general?
I know Todd and Michelle (who are on the show) and have read their books as well as hung out with them numerous times in NOLA. They dont really believe in the whole blood drinking vampire thing..its more a spiritual vampirism thing.
I don't see it playing anytime soon; I'm assuming this was recently aired already?
I thought it was freakin' retarded. Some of the things they put in there about Bathory all right, but I wouldn't necessarily call her vampire. The moron that killed his girlfriends family was considered a vampire, but he was nothing more then a confused kid that needed an explanation for what he did. They should have looked more into the origins of the myth rather then trying to explain modern day elements of it. They didn't go into the gypsy myths, they concentrated on Scotland which was kinda absurd to me. The history channel is normally good about collecting there facts instead of jumping to conclusions but these writers had their heads up there ass because this program was about as informative as going to the golf channel to find out about WWII
How do Vampires keep thier whites whitest?
they use TIDE!
What is vampires least favorite Summertime beverage?
Sunny Delight

Oh man, we watched that the other night. Soooo terrible. That program made the gothic community look like a bunch of poorly dressed vampire wannabee morons.

I only caught the last half but I didn't think it was terrible, I've definitely seen alot worse, and I loved that they talked about WhiteWolf (even if it was negative). I used to hang out with them!
As for New York being the "Rome of Vampirism" that suprised me. In the 90's I was thier quite a bit, and I hung out with Goths, but vampires were rarely discussed. Go figure.
This is the problem with living in Britain, I don't get to see these programmes to conplain about them.
Ditto
Oh, gotcha. I'm noting the time it next airs.
But this all sounds a lot like the DVD 'documentary' extra that was attached to Underworld.
lol never knew Underworld has an extra like that. Gotta go look it up
I've seen it a few times, sadly. I thought it was hokey. My boyfriend, Zomas, who was in the damn thing also agrees, it could have been WORLDS better.

Last month while at the Whitby Dracula Society's Masked Ball, we were being filmed for Most Haunted (a UK series where they take people to reputedly haunted places and make them wander around) The filming was for a prologue background kind of thing for when they go to Romania/Transylvania. For those of you in the UK, it's being shown in a 3 day special either this month or next month. If you want to know, I'll get more details.
Found out that the clips from the ball will be Broadcast on UK Living as part of a 3 night special starting on the 23rd of February. So if you want to see us making complete tits of ourselves, watch then. Or if you want to see the official pictures from the ball, go to http://www.dhutchinson.me.uk/ Some of the people are good fiends of mine, so you'll see what kind of people I hang around with.![]()
the history channel is for factual history...but the program had some implied opinions about goths, or was trying to scare people who dont know shit. either way i think they should have stayed with the history, not whats going on now.
