hmmm those automatic translators aren't perfect though.....they usually make plenty of mistakes....did you get a french speaker to read it first?

I picked up a dictionary of French slang and cuss words............
    Salope is bitch and slut,
    Connard is a bastard,
    Connasse is a bitch,
Va Te Faire Foutre is Fuck Off.
Salaud is another word for bastard.
Putain is dammit, oh my god, fuck, shit, and whore.
    Merde is shit.
    Cul is ass.
Baiser is the verb to fuck. But un baiser is a kiss. That's one of those words you have to be VERY careful with. Same with chat (cat and pussy), praline (almond and clit), lune (moon and ass). There's other ones too but that's all I remember.

translate something english into french... then translate it back into english, and see how far it's drifted.

google translation: traduisez quelque chose de anglais dans le Français... le traduisent alors de nouveau dans l'anglais, et voient qu'à quelle distance il est dérivé.

back-translation: translate something of English in the French... then translate it again in English, and see that at which distance it is derived.

Here's how you do the accents on an american keyboard, hold down alt and press these numbers and release alt.

    à 133 À 0192
    â 131 Â 0194
    ä 132 Ä 142
    æ 145 Æ 146
    ç 135 Ç 128
    é 130 É 144
    è 138
    ê 136
    ë 137
    ô 147
    œ 156
    ù 151 Ù 0217
    « 174 » 175

Those would be the ones you'd probably use........... also if you have Word or Wordperfect, you can just do an insert of symbols, you should find them there.

jennifer, you can translate words but by translating whole sentences it doesn't fix gramatics in it, which is diferent in every language.

    sample of translating trough program:

    Serbian: Ja te volim
English: Me You Love (suposed to be I love You)

    nice explained for blondes :P

Well I am one of these strange people that kind of likes things to be jumbled up a bit!! I mean, maybe the god of internet translation KNOWS A BETTER WAY of saying it!!! Too late now, anyway, I already sent it, and as I said, I also sent the English letter so someone will hopefully understand something....

Or even if it is really stupid and they start laughing at it, at least it might get their attention. Half the battle is just getting someone to notice you.

You open your word document, type your letter or whatever you want to translate, then click TOOLS, then LANGUAGE, then TRANSLATE. Then on a box on the bottom right it says Translate via the Web, click on that and then it leads you through it!!! It is really fun!!!
