I had spoken to the hairstylist previously, and he had told me he would be using fake hair so I could just come with my mohawk as is (it was crimped and dirty). This only furthered how opposite my appearance was to the primped models who were already in hair and make-up.
Anyhow, when I went to get dressed the wardrobe guy handed me a pair of pants that were about as wide as one of my thighs. I have never been self conscious of my body, but at the moment when I explained to him that the pants wouldn't fit me, the look he gave me made me feel about 600 lbs. Next he handed me an equally small pair which I tried on to humor him, since he was in disbelief that I couldn't fit them. They pulled up to mid- thigh. Yeah. "Ooooooooh" he said. "They don't fit??" (insert here: small flamboyant man looking me up and down...)
So fiiiiiinally I was handed a THIRD pair, which he disgustedly said "these one's should fit". I sucked my stomach in as much as I possibly could and was rewarded with the zipper barely pulling shut.
My embarrassment was furthered when the diamond rings he had didn't fit either. Then I didn't have earring holes and he wanted to put earrings on me.
The experience was all together entertaining but nothing I hope to repeat :-)
