Legs McNeil Reading in Detroit, Chicago and Minneapolis

Back when Spin was new and fresh and a little punk rock, Legs McNeil wrote rock journalism for it which was so good it convinced me I should totally do rock journalism when I grew up. (Hmm, maybe I should hold this against him.) At any rate, Legs McNeil is going to be doing readings in Detroit, Chicago, and Minneapolis. He will be reading from his seminal punk history Please Kill Me and something teased as only “New Book”. I suppose I should email and ask him what the new book will be. Given his impressive track record, I am guessing it will be something which involves bringing an uncommon intellect and been-there insights, combined with deep research . . . to an aspect of pop culture some people might take less seriously, but which really matters.

LEGS McNEIL will be reading from his new book and from PLEASE KILL ME in DETROIT at PJ Lager House on September 30th 2012 at 8:00 PM!

And in Chicago at the Late Bar on Oct. 2nd, 2012 at 8:00 PM….

And Legs and Gillian McCain will read from PLEASE KILL ME and the NEW BOOK in Minneapolis on Oct. 6th, at the Belmore/the New Skyway Lounge (Doug from Nick & Eddie’s new place in downtown Minneapolis) also at 8:00 PM!
