Super Happy Fun Time Energy Bears

Anyone who knows me understands that I’m still a huge fan of weird candies. Swedish Fish are one of my all time favorite foods. I love a good energy drink too. I actually look forward to long road trips because they are a great excuse to buy an assorted bag full of obscure sweetened speed in a bad-ass looking can. So, I’m shocked that nobody seems to have successfully merged these ideas, until now. My email box was a little like Easter morning today as I woke up to find an announcement from a company called Loud Truck about their new high energy Citrus Blast Gummi Bears. These Cyberpunk fictional treats come to real life are already available from vending machines in nearly 800 locations in just Los Angeles alone, as well as being available on line at one of my favorite weird candy sources OffBeatTreats.com.

That creepy orange Space Oddity era Bowie style cartoon bear logo is just calling out to me. If the Devil on my shoulder had a shape, I think this would be it. I wonder if Loud Truck in fact has a big loud truck full of candy that they drive around. Hipster vending trucks have become quite the trend in this area and I would totally leave the comfort of my cave for a mobile candy store. These guys are loaded with vitamins B2, B3, B12, lots of Vitamin C, Guarana extract, and still come in at less than 60 calories a pack, which is good to know because I’m sure I’ll eat the whole box (12 packs) as soon as it arrives.
