I first came across the band Motionless in White because the lovely Blue Blood babe Franccesca de Struct said she was going to be in a music video for them. The song is called “America” and is a catchy guitar-driven goth-industrial rant about how, with all the corruption in church and government, why is anyone looking at cute boys in spooky makeup. I mean, the point is that counterculture freaks are not the problem in the world. Obviously, there are plenty of good reasons to look at cute boys in spooky makeup. The music vid is directed by M. Shawn Crahan, better know as Clown 6 from Slipknot and he did a very fine job. I’m curious whether this is his directorial debut or if he has been directing for a while. The Motionless in White America mini-film includes hot rocker chicks, stylish goth bois, bad priests, bad politicians, Kynt (if, unlike me, you ever watched The Amazing Race), choke makeout action, candy cocaine, and circus bigtop motifs — Pretty much all the essentials. If you like this sort of thing in general, you will like this.
