Auxiliary Magazine April/May Out

The new issue of Jennifer Link’s Auxiliary magazine is out now. Some of the makeup in this issue is really cool. The makeup by a Dannie Page in photographer Bailey Northcott’s Firestarter editorial looks really cool; it is over-the-top unusual and brightly colored and the photography makes the colors pop. Model Porcelain does her own makeup truly fabulously in photographer Steve Prue’s pinup editorial on her, which also includes fashion from the always interesting Mother of London. I especially love photographer Sylvia Pereira’s fashion editorial called “It’s Not Complicated”. The models are just wearing T-shirts, but they look great. The designer of the shirts is called Akumu Ink and they are cool shirts, but I also just really liked seeing such an attractive photo spread of styles cool people could actually wear, not just out at the club if they were getting paid to attend, but in real life. Thumbs up.

The April/May 2013 issue is the twenty seventh issue of Auxiliary, a magazine dedicated to alternative fashion, music, and lifestyle. This issue features an interview with Chris Corner aka IAMX, an interview and exclusive photoshoot with Jimmy Urine of Mindless Self Indulgence, an interview and exclusive photoshoot with Douglas McCarthy cofounder of Nitzer Ebb, an interview and fashion editorial with Audrey Kitching our cover model, a designer spotlight on Darkspectre, a fashion editorial with Nina de Lianin of In Strict Confidence, and Porcelain as our PinUp.
