Rod Benson Needs Some Hot Ass Punk Rock Babes

Okay, so you are probably asking yourself why in the world I would even be aware of a YouTube video with literally 3 views. See, my brother hasn’t decided what country he lives in. And this dude Rod Benson kind of lives in Korea where he (I am not making this up) plays basketball in the Korean Basketball League. And he kind of lives on my block, so I’ve run into him in the grocery store. Because itinerant fabulous people flock together, rootless Rod and my rootless brother know one another. So I’ve spent an evening listening to Rod Benson describe his penis in great detail (e.g. “it’s beautiful” and he feels sorry for girls who go down on him because it’s soooo enormous) for a remarkably extended time period to a girl who I am pretty sure had come out in the hopes of banging my brother. But I digress.

Anyway, Rod made a drunken music video ode to going to the store and buying a bottle of vodka and the song rhymes spew and ew. Always a plus. Thoughtful lyrics include, “I’m into heavy petting like a pervy Santa Claus” and “We need some hot ass punk rock babes. I don’t care where they come from, the most important thing, it’s imperative, that we have a diversity in the, uh, pussy department.” That is the kind of insight you get with a poli sci degree from Berkeley.

You know how much I heart multifaceted individuals. The video gave me a smile and the vodka hook is actually kinda catchy.

My coach gave me 4 days off and I was going to take a short trip to Macau. I changed my mind at the last minute and decided to stay in Seoul with my brother. After taking down a bottle of vodka, we decided to nail a green bed sheet to the roof and get loose on camera.

The song was recorded in fall 2012, and when my brother heard it for the first time last week, he asked why we didn’t have a video. I nodded, took a shot, ate a pack of gummy bears, and told him it was time to get to work. Enjoy.
